How to watermark photos

  1. Drop, choose or paste one photo — or select a whole batch.
  2. Type your watermark (for example © 2026 Jane Smith or your website), or switch to Logo and add a PNG.
  3. Pick a corner, the centre, or Tile across photo for a repeated diagonal pattern.
  4. Set size and opacity. 40–60% opacity is visible without spoiling the picture.
  5. Download. Several photos come back together in one ZIP file.

Corner mark or tiled watermark?

A small corner credit is the choice for portfolios and social posts: it tells people who took the photo and barely touches the image, but it can be cropped out in seconds. A tiled watermark covers the whole frame, so there is no clean area left to crop to — that is what stock libraries and photographers use for client proofs. Rotating the tile to around −30° makes it harder to paint out along straight lines.

Before you post

  • Photos can carry GPS coordinates and camera details. Strip them with the EXIF viewer & remover.
  • Need a file under an upload limit? Run the watermarked photo through compress image to size.
  • A watermark does not replace copyright — your photos are protected either way — but it makes the owner obvious when a picture is shared without credit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about image conversion.

Drop one or more photos, type your name, website or © line (or add a logo PNG), choose where it goes and how see-through it is, then download. With several photos you get them all in one ZIP.

Yes. Select or drop as many photos as you like. The watermark size is a percentage of each photo's shorter side, so it looks the same on portrait and landscape shots of any resolution.

A small corner mark is enough to credit your work but is easy to crop off. A tiled, rotated watermark across the whole image is much harder to remove — use it for proofs you send to clients before payment.

Yes. Switch to Logo and choose a PNG with a transparent background for the cleanest result. Opacity works the same as for text.

No. The watermark is drawn on each photo by your browser, and the files are saved straight to your device.
